Abstract: The geopolymers were explored and prepared from municipal solid waste incineration fly ash (MSWI) and class C fly ash (CFA). The durability of geopolymers modified by nano-particles of SiO2 and γ-Al2O3 was studied. The results show that the CFA-MSWI fly ash composite geopolymers have good high-temperature resistance. The negative effects of chemical corrosion on the composite geopolymers were HCl >NaOH >Na2SO4 solution. The dry shrinkage, chemical corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance could be improved by nano-particles and the effect of SiO2 was better than that of γ-Al2O3. SEM and BET results further confirmed that microstructure and pore structure of the geopolymers could be modified effectively by nano-particles whichcan reduce volume of the large pores, compact system structure, and strengthen durability of the geopolymers.
