Abstract: The effect of Cl- on hot corrosion mechanics of heat resistant stainless steel 0Cr25Ni20 was studied by XRD analysis of the corrosion products on the surface of 0Cr25Ni20 coupon. The results showed that Cl- had the effect of dissolving oxide film, which could accelerate the rate of oxidation and hot corrosion of this material and cause the failure of 0Cr25Ni20 inner core. In additional, we offered solutions in this paper.
