Abstract: Several energy-saving technologies used in the hydraulic drive system of grate cooler were presented and their advantages and disadvantages were analyzed. The main focus was to analyze the energy-saving characteristics of load-sensitive control technologies, meanwhile the difference between mechanical load-sensitive and electronic load-sensitive control technologies was illustrated. Research results of load-sensitive control principles used in the grate cooler were introduced.
