The calculation methods of parameters such as design conveying capacity, theoretical cross-sectional area, inclination reduction coefficient, horizontal turning coefficient and other parameters in the preliminary design stage of long-distance belt conveyor were introduced. Combined with the site survey results of a specific project, the main design parameters such as the design conveying capacity, belt speed, and bandwidth of a certain project were calculated, and the selection of conveying equipment was preliminarily determined, which lays a foundation for the detailed design stage.
