Abstract: This paper shows kinematics and force analysis of the roller for roller press. Contact stress distribution of roller and roller sleeve in the condition of interference fit was obtained using Tick-walled Tube Theorem to calculate upper and lower limits of interference fit between the roller and the roller sleeve and using ANSYS Workbench to analyze the interference fit under different interference conditions. Comparing finite element calculation results with theoretical solutions, we verified the feasibility of the finite element method. Accordingly a new approach is provided for interference fit design of roller press.
