Abstract This paper present the technical progress of cement production and the development process of waste treatment in cement industry. Analysis is made on resources utilization and environment protection in China cement industry. The author also gave a description the practice activity of waste treatment on cement kilns and indicated that there is a wide space for wastes treatment in cement industry. The author finalized his opinion that waste treatment in cement industry is a system engineering of socio－economic and need overall balance and consideration of whole society.
