Power cable laying mode is gradually shifting from manual mode to mechanical mode. It can reduce the costs and risks, improve the efficiency through the mechanical cable laying. This paper introduced the power cable type, laying mode and some important parameters. The cable routing is through cable trenches, cable tunnels, cable trays, cable corridors or cable conduits in cement plant. The differences between manual cable laying mode and mechanical cable laying mode in working hours and benefits was analyzed. Compared to mechanical cable laying mode, manual cable laying mode requires more manpower and meets higher construction risks and lower efficiency.
