Abstract Development of advanced control software is one of the important tasks in cement industry. Production consumption, energy saving and environmental protection can be increased by using advanced control software in cement company. This article describes the development process of advanced control software which uses the predictive control strategy. The process includes the data acquisition, data processing and analysis, control system model identification, achievement of generalized predictive control algorithm, and so on.
