| The Analysis of the Compression Performance of Gusset Plate in Steel Frame |

Abstract Due to the particularity of the steel frame structure, the design of gusset plate frame beam column joints is different from Code for Design of Steel Structures (GB50017-2003). In this paper, the compression performance of typical gusset plate frame beam column joints in steel frame structure is studied by finite element analysis model. The effect of the main parameters and the node plate for steel frame structure of the gusset plate are investigated. Results show that, supporting connecting angle has little effect on the gusset plate, while the gusset plate thickness and the unsupported length play a major role.
