Abstract The power generation efficiency of waste heat power generation system is determined by the flue gas temperature out of the preheater system for the new dry process cement production line. A higher flue gas temperature is helpful for waste heat power generation, while the coal consumption is increased, and vice versa. Taking Chizhou Hailuo and Tangshan Jidong cement plants for examples, the ratio of coal consumption to electricity output was compared to decide whether 4-stage or 5-stage preheater is more reasonable for the waste heat power generation system.
