Abstract Using limestone, anhydrite, fly ash and silica as raw materials, the influence of alkalinity modulus and burning temperature on the formation of clinker minerals were studied under the fixed aluminum /sulfur ratio (P) of 3.82 and alumina content of 10%. The results show that the cement prepared with the alkalinity modulus of 1.2 and the burning temperature of 1375~1425℃ is high-belite Portland cement. C4A3S decomposes into C3A instead of C12A7. The presence of SO3 and C3A improves the formation of C3S at low temperatures and C3S partially decomposes to give α'-C2S. The micromorphology of cement clinker minerals shows no apparent difference.
