Study on the Properties of Concrete Mixed with High Performance Belite Sulphoaluminate Cement

Abstract: In order to take forward the application of high performance belite sulphoaluminate cement with lower carbon emission, the main characteristics of concrete mixed with high performance belite sulphoaluminate cement and Portland cement were compared and studied. The results show that compared with Portland cement concrete, high performance belite sulphoaluminate cement concrete can obtain better workability and at an average of 4MPa and 9MPa higher compressive strength separately for C30 and C50 strength grade at all testing age. Also, high performance belite sulphoaluminate cement concrete can obtain better water and chloride penetration resistance, sulphate attack resistance, freezing and thawing resistance, as well as shrinkage resistance. The carbonization attack resistance is a little weaker and the corrosion of the embedded steel reinforcement is nearly the same.
