Abstract: Inner structure and weakness of heat-exchange area in precalcining zone on wet-process kiln are introduced in this paper. A scheme to improve this area is pointed by the author. Based on this scheme, an improvement is made by a plant on the forced heat-exchange area on a wet rotary kiln. It is proved that the lifetime of inner lining is prolonged, and the service life of embedded dispersing plate is much improved than the original one. Both heat dispersion of kiln body and coal consumption is reduced. Thus the unit capacity of wet-process kiln and economic profit is increased.
