Abstract: The conventional FGD control system is less intelligent and needs regular inspection by workers on site, the SO2 emission from the desulfurization tower often exceeds the standard. The newly developed FGD intelligent control system not only saves human resources, but also makes desulfurization system run more efficiently. The quality of FGD gypsum is stable. The system can intelligently control the number of circulating pumps opening according to the SO2 concentration at the inlet of desulfurization tower. The system has been successfully applied to several limestone-gypsum wet FGD systems in cement industry.
