Abstract This paper introduces the working principle of smooth blasting on slope of open-pit mine, the selection of main parameters of smooth blasting without detonating cable and the construction method of charging without detonating cable. The application example of a mine in Guangdong province shows that the smooth blasting technology without detonating cord can improve the stability of the slope, ensure the forming quality of the slope, reduce the blasting cost and improve the economic benefit of the enterprise.
