Abstract There are vibration problems for horizontal gas duct in the WHR boiler. To deal with this problem, we research on the operational states of large amount of projects and analysis theoretically on the acoustic resonant caused by frequency coupling between Karman vortex and inherent frequency of air space, a solution by avoiding acoustic resonant with adding vertical antivibration plate in horizontal gas duct was proposed, separating it into two cavity. Finally, the problem of vibration of horizontal gas duct was solved.
