Abstract This article introduces the erection and alignment method of the ball mill edge drive device, by the method of aligning the gears，root and back lash, to meet the requirement of gear meshing contact area not less than 40% of tooth height and 50% of tooth width, ensure the erection quality and service life of the gears.
