Abstract This article introduces the fourth generation grate cooler with central roller crusher replace the third generation grate cooler at the 5 000t/d cement clinker production line. The technical transformation project lasted for 46 days. After more than four years of actual running, the fourth generation grate cooler with central roller crusher was better than expected, included the heat recovery efficiency, clinker temperature, secondary and tertiary air temperature, waste heat power generation and service life of parts. It achieves the double goals of technical progress and profitability.
