Abstract Combining the actual situation of the cement and concrete industries and the development status of technical standards in developed countries, such as Europe and the United States, several practical methods for carbon emission reduction have been proposed in cement community. For example, using cement scientifically and efficiently, adjusting the structure of cement products, strengthening the top-level design, improving the carbon emission accountability methods and sharing various responsibilities of producers and consumers.
