In response to the problems encountered in the cement production line using calcium carbide slag, such as cement kiln ringing, preheater crusting or even blockage, excessive temperature of clinker from grate cooler outlet, the fault of breaking material occurred frequently in drying and crushing system, NOX emission risk, etc, a series of optimization and transformation measures were formulated. By taking reasonable control of process parameters, replacing kiln head burner, adding kiln head waste gas treatment system, replacing a fixed grate bed of grate cooler with a new type of quenching inflation box, optimizing carbide slag conveying system, lengthening and thickening gooseneck pipe, adopting single side rotary inlet air of tertiary air duct and other measures, the problem of long-term stable production has been solved well, and now the continuous operation of high efficiency and low consumption of carbide slag cement production line can be realized. After the optimization and upgrading, the amount of ammonia water per ton of clinker decreased by more than 50% when the NOX emission of the chimney was less than 100mg/Nm3.
