Abstract It introduced the basic frames and functions of Energy Management System (EMS) in details. According the actual situations of the DCS in site, it adopted the different solutions to fulfill the communication, acquisition and accumulation of the underlying data. Getting through the data flow is fundamental for the establishment of the EMS to make remote supervision, data analysis, operation diagnosis and fault warning realizable and it could improve the level of the management of power stations.
