Abstract This paper briefly introduces the design and function of SIMATIC PCS 7 automatic control system. A 110t/h cement grinding production line project adopts PROFIBUS DP and Modbus communication mode to exchange data with DCS system. The developed HMI can realize data acquisition, data monitoring, alarm record, equipment operation, process parameter modification, event record, trend archive and other functions. The system runs stably and has strong processing ability, the hardware and software of DCS system can be expanded flexibly.
