Based on the analysis of the Global Mercury Assessment released by UNEP, the present situation of mercury emission in cement industry at home and abroad was summarized. The mercury emission factor of cement in major production countries was compared and the important influence of coal combustion on mercury emission from cement industry was studied. The total mercury emission of global cement industry is 277t and the total mercury emission of cement industry in China is 134.05t in 2015. Combined with the characteristics of cement industry, mercury emission control measures and efficiency are analyzed and the best way to reduce mercury emission in China's cement industry is proposed.
