Abstract Based on experimental analysis about water-resistance mechanism of MOC(magnesium oxychloride cement) and MOC products, it has been determined that residual MgCl2 is the essential cause resulting in the poor durability. And various kinds of Cl- ion catchers have been applied to improve MOC, in among that β-A catcher has the best behavior. This result has quite wide application foreground.
