Abstract Combined with examples, the influence of material characteristics, including particle size, particle size distribution, moisture, inherent properties, foreign matter and others, on the roller press combined grinding system were analyzed. It is concluded that only appropriate material can guarantee high grinding efficiency and running rate. For various material characteristics, corresponding measures are provided from process and operation perspectives.
