| Cause Analysis and Solution for the Abnormal Decrease of Cement Strength |

Abstract To figure out the reasons for the abnormal decrease of cement strength at cement silo discharge, test was conducted to check the possible causes including the water content of the additive material, the gypsum amount and the cement temperature at mill discharge. The test results approved the excessive gypsum content and its dehydration was the main reason. After the actions with new gypsum source with higher dehydration temperature and cement temperature control at mill discharge, the cement strength was improved and cement quality was stabilized.
