Abstract It introduced the source of MgO in the cement raw material of limestone. Through mathematical statistics, physical and chemical analysis, and XRD micro-cause analysis, the effects of high MgO content raw materials on cement clinker strength, clinker grinding, clinker color and other properties are studied, and the direction of technological improvement is clarified. In actual production, when the content of MgO in the raw material increases, by adjusting the batching scheme, appropriately increasing the KH and SM control values, increasing the total content of C3S and C2S, and using high-calorific value fuels, the strength and quality of the clinker can be stabilized.
