Abstract Large casting girth gear is one of the most important kiln castings, through the large girth gear transmission torque, so as to drive the kiln rotation. Because of the large dimensions, long casting cycle, and complex manufacturing process of the kiln large casting girth gear, how to improve the finished product’s quality has great significance. This article focuses on analyzing two aspects of how to effectively improve the quality of the girth gear, one factor is the structural design and the other is the manufacturing process control.
