Abstract Based on the design practice of a 6 000t/d clinker cement production line in Iraq, it introduces the codes about fixed foam extinguishing system for fixed roof tank in NFPA Standard and Chinese Fire Protection Standard, analyses the differences in design parameters of foam?extinguishing?system and layout of foam fire extinguishing facilities, elaborates the reasons for the differences, gives some advices about the selection of design parameters.
