Abstract Aiming at the high-temperature corrosion problems in the preheater, a new metal-based composite ceramic coating coupon had been developed. The ceramic coating was densely attached to the surface of the metal material through the high-temperature composite method, which could not only effectively block the metal corrosion of the matrix material, but also bring excellent toughness to ensure the safety of utilization; meanwhile, the comprehensive use effect was better.
