New Developments in Cement Roller Mill Technology

Cement roller mill utilizing the principle of high pressure material bed grinding is a typical high efficiency and energy saving grinding device. It is widely used for drying and grinding kinds of materials. In the cement production process, it is mainly used for raw meal grinding, pulverized coal preparation and cement grinding. The cement clinker has poor grindability, high abrasion resistance, good fluidity, fine fineness and high cement performance; therefore, cement grinding has the most stringent technical requirements for the roller mill. In the past ten years, the development of world famous roller mill suppliers mainly focused on the cement roller mill. It has been developed in the fields of large scale, driving mode, mill structure, and design parameters and so on, which worth learning for us.

Application of Coal Catalyst in Cement Plant Using High Calorific Value Bituminous Coal

In this paper, the industrial test of a new kind of coal catalyst developed by Tianjin Cement Industry design and Research Institute was carried out in a 4 500t/d production line which using high calorific value bituminous coal as fuel in South China. Results showed that the clinker quality was improved and the qualification rate of free lime was increased by 8.76% compared with vacant catalyst. The use of coal-combustion catalysts has obvious benefit on the stability of burning system, the coating of inlet chamber decreases and the kiln working condition is improved evidently. The standard coal consumption of unit clinker is reduced by 3.40 kg, and the coal saving rate is up to 3%, which has remarkable economic and social benefits.

Recording data for equipment instruments is achieved by the Siemens S7-1200 PLC data logging function. At present, the commonly used methods of data recording include single chip microcomputer recording, upper computer recording, and touch panel recording, but in terms of reliability, usability, and cost, it cannot meet the operating requirements of small control system. Therefore, a new method with a large advantage in the above aspects is needed to solve the problem of data recording for small control system.

The following is the parameter of the clinker silo in Algeria Bis project, 60m in diameter, 450mm in thickness, 25.15m in height and the 1 500~750 mm ring beam in the upper part. The normal construction technology are form working by scaffolding, traditional tripod and slipping formwork (due to there is no resource of the crawl frame way, so that is not be considered). After the evaluated to the above method, those are not suit for this construction based on the time schedule,quality and safe. Considering the resource of site, a new kind of tripod method is developed by Algeria,through the operating platform of improving system, large formwork supporting system, changing the quality control method, updating the construction process and using the new equipment. Application of the new method achieved the expected goal thought the testing of the Bis project. It has received good results in terms of progress, quality and safety, and has been successful in both improving work efficiency and economic efficiency.
