| Measures to Reduce Cement Caking in the Silo |

Abstract This paper studied the reason of the cement caking in cement silo related to the production process. The results show that high moisture content of the supplementary material and excessive moisture brought into during the processes of production, transportation and storage increased the caking. The cement caking can be sharply reduced by strengthening the storage management of raw materials, preventing the intrusion of moisture and controlling the cement grinding strictly. In addition, the well situation of sealing and thermal insulating of conveying equipment, reasonable storage time and the application of nano materials in the straight and slope segment of cement silo are the prerequisite to decrease the caking and improve the outbound efficiency significantly.
