Under the condition of lacking large machining tools, a simple and rational method of end cover replacement is produced through overall considerations on cement mill design, manufacturing and erection. Through practice operation, the technical specifications of original mill have been satisfied.

This paper describe the design, erection and operation of a state－made waste heat power generation on the first 5000t／d clinker new dry cement line. It is proven that both engineering design and equipment manufacturing are successful. The author sum up the issues noticed in engineering design and running practice, as well as the benefit produced from revolving economy.
